Education, Experience, and Skills Required

Should the selected candidate meet the qualifications of a more experienced level in the career path, the job level may be adjusted.

Bachelor's Degree plus one of the following

  • Five years of Altec Human Resources experience, or
  • Five years' external Human Resources experience with 2 years of Supervisory experience

Excellent computer skills required.


  • PHR certification
  • PeopleSoft, Oracle and/or Kronos

Major Responsibilities

  • Able to achieve results through active participation in activities and tasks.
  • Complete work requiring attention to detail, organization and administration excellence
  • Has a professional awareness of how Human Resources interfaces within the overall management team
  • Is interested and has some experience in a broad range of HR functions, including best practices and legal implications
  • Fosters an environment where associates produce quality products in a dynamic team environment, with a consistent focus on Altec values
  • Has a commitment to Human Resources as a profession, focused on productive and positive business relationships overall
  • In addition to technical competence, key player will have excellent communication, coaching and mentoring skills
  • Is relationship-driven, with highly developed organization skills
  • Engages in high levels of diplomacy and maintains confidentiality
