Responsibilities

The Information Technology Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that Altec production systems in the production facility are supported during all working shifts. People are our greatest strength and developing team members in a positive manner is critical for this role

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for managing all software, hardware and network systems required for daily plant operations. This includes servers, desktop PCs, tablets, phone system, security system, software, network infrastructure, and plant disaster recovery
• Lead IT operational and strategic planning, including fostering innovation, managing project priorities, project timelines, and negotiating resource allocation
• Benchmark, analyze, and make recommendations for the improvement and growth of the IT infrastructure and IT systems.
• Stay up to date on the latest changes in technology
• Manage, develop and document IT policies and procedures as required including hardware and software standards and system configurations
• Provide IT leadership and direction when interfacing with other internal groups to resolve challenges
• Provide regular updates to senior management on current IT projects
• Manage department purchasing and budgeting. Must also negotiate and administer external service agreements related to Information Technology
• Will direct and supervise the work of others

Education, Experience and Skills Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related discipline is preferred, but consideration may be given to an exceptional candidate with 9 years relevant experience
• At least 5 years relevant work experience required
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must be competent in the configuration, setup, deployment and support of the latest technology related to desktops, laptops, printers, associated peripherals and networking equipment.
• Prefer advanced knowledge of Microsoft software, Cisco WAN networking equipment and PC/Server hardware
• Valid driver’s license
