Education, Experience, and Skills Required

The job level is able to be adjusted at time of hire, if the candidate meets the qualifications for jobs of a more experienced level in the career path.

Bachelor's Degree plus one of the following

  • Five  years of Altec Human Resources experience, or
  • Five years' external Human Resources experience with 2 years of Supervisory experience

Excellent computer skills required

Preferred

  • PHR certification
  • PeopleSoft, Oracle and/or Kronos

Major Responsibilities

  • Able and willing to achieve results through active participation in activities and tasks, requiring attention to detail, excellent organization and administration excellence
  • Has a professional awareness of how Human Resources interfaces within the overall management team
  • Is interested and has some experience in a broad range of HR functions,  including best practices and legal implications
  • Fosters an environment where associates produce quality products in a dynamic team environment, with a consistent focus on Altec values
  • Has a commitment to Human Resources as a profession, focused on productive and positive business relationships overall
  • In addition to technical competence, this key player will have excellent communication, coaching and mentoring skills
  • Is relationship-driven, with highly developed organization skills
  • Engages in high levels of diplomacy and maintains confidentiality
  • May travel up to 25%
