Our auction subsidiary, JJ Kane, currently has an opening for an Auction Facilitator that can work out of either our Shrewsbury, MA location or our Plymouth Meeting, PA location.  The ideal candidate will provide oversight of vehicles, miscellaneous descriptions, and photo representation before activating auction items for selling through JJ Kane. They will also work closely with account managers and their teams to ensure our consignors items are processed in a timely manner, maintain quality control of item descriptions to ensure accurate representation of an item and provide the highest return to our customers on their assets

Major Responsibilities May Include:

  • Review the descriptions of vehicles and miscellaneous items to make sure they accurately represent item(s) being sold on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
  • Maintain a consistent verbiage within auction management database.
  • Use of vehicle knowledge and mechanical aptitude to communicate information for customers to make informed purchase decisions
  • Ensure description quality and accuracy to minimize No Sales and bring the highest return for our consignors.  
  • Ensure items have necessary photos depicting critical data, to include but not limited to, vin, odometer, and aerial unit serial number.
  • Correcting photo orientation and sequential order through auction management database, allowing for proper viewing on JJ Kane website and our other online platform partners.  
  • Final review and activation of auction items.
  • Work independently daily, constantly review and communicate with account managers, inside sales associates, holding yards and office personnel for any additional information needed to make Auction Items active.    
  • All other duties as assigned.

 

Should the selected candidate meet the qualifications of a more experienced level in the career path, the job level may be adjusted.

 

Education, Experience and Skills Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • One year of direct auction experience or three years automotive experience or other industry related experience required
  • Current valid Driver’s License
  • Demonstrated ability to read and understand vehicle descriptions
  • Demonstrated experience in reading, understanding, and communicating vehicle components and technical data for vehicles
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel required
  • Demonstrated ability to work with various teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage workload to assure customer satisfaction and timely resolution of Online Auction deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to work with team members and work with minimal supervision
