A Supervisor is needed to lead the operation and provide daily supervision at the new Fort Wayne, IN Regional Warehouse Hub. This is a great opportunity to help establish a Warehouse that is committed to supporting our Northeast customers. The successful person will provide support for success while promoting safe working habits and an environmentally responsible environment.

Basic Qualifications

The job level is able to be adjusted at time of hire, if the candidate meets the qualifications for jobs of a more experienced level in the career path.

A candidate with a Bachelor’s Degree (preferred education) can find challenge and career opportunity in this role.

Bring your process skills, passion for leadership, and mechanical aptitude.

In lieu of a degree, a High School diploma or GED is required with one of the following:

  • In lieu of a Bachelor’s, a minimum of two years of supervisory experience in manufacturing, warehousing, or another service operation is required OR
  • Min 2 years’ manufacturing or service experience and 2 years of Altec Group Leader experience OR
  • Min 5 years of experience in Altec manufacturing or service

In addition,

  • Computer skills are required, with knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications preferred
  • Sound communication skills, with the willingness to provide superior customer service is required
  • Action-oriented individual with the initiative to diagnose, solve problems, as well as make sound recommendations regarding system and process improvements.
  • Mechanical aptitude is required, with knowledge of hydraulic schematics helpful.
  • Physical effort is required to move objects that my weigh up to 75 pounds, with a high level of dexterity required in the use of hand and power tools.


  • Guide team members to accomplish daily tasks, without on-site leadership under the direction of a remote Warehouse Manager.
  • Manage inbound, outbound and replenishment inventory processes.
  • Maintain and improve inventory controls using cycle counting and inventory moves.
  • Manage warehouse inventory control performance indicators.
  • Provide warehouse operations improvement suggestions.
  • Utilize strong Oracle skills to research, problem solve, and correct inventory transactions.
  • Maintain consistent communication to foster positive relationships.  Instill an attitude of team spirit in concert with Altec Values that will maintain a successful Service Group within the overall Altec organization.
