The Altec Service Group has a paid internship opportunity in St. Joseph, MO. The ideal candidate will be available for 20 – 30 hours/week during normal business hours throughout the year (flexible around class schedule) and available on a full-time or part-time basis during semester breaks.

The Technical Writer position within the Altec Service Group is responsible for the development and editing of information for technical publications, including but not limited to internal Service work instructions, operational manuals, and other documentation as needed.

Qualifications:

• Pursuing bachelor’s degree, entering 3rd or 4th year.
• Preference is for Business, Technical Writing, English, or a technical degree

You must have a passion for learning, taking on new challenges, and helping to keep customers informed.

• Exceptionally strong English communication and writing skills required
• Exceptional attention to detail required
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Ability to manage time, meet deadlines, and set priorities with minimal direction
• Flexible with the ability to switch activities and refocus nimbly.
