Altec's auction subsidiary, JJ Kane Auctioneers, currently has an opening for a Project Manager I.  This position will be responsible for collaborating across multiple functional areas to integrate new products, processes, and/or services into the business. Manages and oversees all aspects of multi-year moderately complex projects throughout the project lifecycle using standard industry and/or JJ Kane project management processes. This position will also provide guidance to project team members in completing deliverables, work packages, integrations, etc.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Leverages existing company processes and minimal guidance from manager and/or other Project Managers to define, manage, and maintain multi-year moderately complex projects throughout the project lifecycle
  • Collaborates across multiple functional areas to integrate new products, processes, and/or services into the business; drives project teams to achieve milestones and goals
  • Communicates project goals/results to all stakeholders which may include cross-functional executive leadership
  • Proposes improvements to company’s preferred project management practices and/or development processes
  • Develops and maintains project schedules, resource plans, budgets, & risks
  • Manages scope of the project; gathers internal/external customer voice and translates to technical requirements; defines project scope to successfully meet objectives; manages project trade-offs; analyzes scope changes and impacts to project plan
  • Understands future roadblocks and risks to implementation with respect to scope, schedule, and budget
  • Coaches project team members in completing deliverables, work packages, integrations, etc.
  • Assists with maintaining roadmaps that support the evolution of products, services, software, etc.
  • Manages JJ Kane Enterprise business projects
  • All other duties as assigned

 

Education, Experience and Skills Required:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Internal candidates - minimum of four (4) years' Altec experience

   - Applicable Masters counts as one year of experience

  • External candidates - minimum of four (4) years' experience in a project analyst/project management role

   - Applicable Masters counts as one year of experience

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Working knowledge and understanding of business principles
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across multiple functional areas to achieve project goals
  • Demonstrated working knowledge, empathy, and a network of core business group roles, purposes and processes
  • Demonstrated basic knowledge of standard industry project management processes
  • Demonstrated knowledge of JJ Kane’s project management processes preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate project status to appropriate project stakeholders including potential delays, risks, scope changes, and key project information
  • Demonstrated ability to use past experiences and prudent PM methods to adapt to projects
  • Travel:  0 - 25% of the time
