Altec Supply is currently looking for a Digital Merchandiser in St. Joseph, MO or Birmingham, AL (preferred). Altec Supply provides aftermarket parts, accessories and service needs for our customer’s equipment. The Digital Merchandiser manages effective digital merchandising programs and strategies within Altec Supply by selecting and sourcing products focused on achieving sales goals

Altec specializes in the manufacture, sale and service of aerial devices, digger derricks, cranes and specialty equipment for the electric utility, telecommunications, tree care, construction, and light and sign maintenance industries in more than 120 countries throughout the world.


  • Responsible for daily supervision and task prioritization of direct reports
  • Manage key inventory; monitor and change product placement if required
  • Execute marketing campaigns using effective banner ads
  • Execute and analyze success of social media campaigns; monitor business driven to the Supply Store
  • Manage vendor relationships to ensure proper description, category number, videos and manuals are on site
  • Manage relationship with Supply team and manufacturers to include “people who bought also bought this “ads
  • Manage out of stock inventory, and manage recommendations for similar products
  • Lead meetings to review Supply and Corporate objectives for product placement and initiatives
  • Leverage relationship with Corporate Marketing team to ensure proper channels are being utilized
  • Manage a roadmap to enhancements of the Supply Store related to eCommerce
  • Monitor traffic, product sales, pricing
  • Manage ROI
  • All other duties as assigned

Education, Experience, and Skills Required

Should the selected candidate meet the qualifications of a more experienced level in the career path, the job level may be adjusted.

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required, Business, Marketing or eCommerce preferred
  • 5+ years’ related experience Required
  • Must be highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Must be able to use multiple web based programs at once
  • Must have good verbal and written communication skills
  • Must have the ability to manage/analyze larger amounts of data
