Altec is currently looking for a Business Development Analyst in Birmingham, AL (Corporate). The purpose of this position is to compile and analyze data with regard to competition, product portfolio, mergers and acquisitions.

Altec specializes in the manufacture, sale and service of aerial devices, digger derricks, cranes and specialty equipment for the electric utility, telecommunications, tree care, construction, and light and sign maintenance industries in more than 120 countries throughout the world.


Responsibilities

  • Researches and analyzes current and future business opportunities

  • Works with market managers, sales team, and external resources to identify, analyze, and summarize trends

  • Performs financial forecasting and modeling for existing or new business opportunities

  • Assists in developing projections, reports, and presentations of the impact of a merger/acquisition on the organization.

  • Supports strategic planning process and meetings by helping with preparation, logistics, meeting materials, summaries, etc.

  • Supports preparation of contracts/agreements with business development opportunities or acquisitions

  • All other duties as assigned

Education, Experience, and Skills Required

Should the selected candidate meet the qualifications of a more experienced level in the career path, the job level may be adjusted.

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • Four Year Bachelor’s degree required – Math, Engineering, Finance preferred

  • Master’s degree desired.

  • 2+ Years work experience in engineering, consulting, banking, finance or other strategy/business development role required

 


Financial Budgeting, Capital, and/or Manpower Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development of potential budgets and proformas for potential acquisitions or new businesses
