Basic Qualifications, Experience, and Skills Required

Should the selected candidate meet the qualifications of a more experienced level in the career path, the job level may be adjusted.

  • High School Diploma or GED is required with 1) one year of Altec Manufacturing or Service experience, or 2) two years of experience in a similar or related field (other than Altec)
  • In lieu of experience, a Bachelor's Degree is required (Bachelor's is the preferred education)

  • Strong administrative and multi-tasking

Major Areas of Responsibility

Be a part of a team whose goal is to provide assistance to customers and associates.

Office Work

  • Responsible for the administration of all paperwork and processes that are critical to keeping a Service Center organized and efficient
  • Specific examples include creating and updating Service Requests, coding invoices for approval, and scanning / filing for all recordkeeping
  • Take a lead role in working Accounts Receivable
  • Answer calls and assist in directing visitors

Parts

  • Order and receive parts
  • Work with shop associates to meet the needs of technicians doing repair work

Customer Support

  • Provide customer estimates and update estimates
  • Invoice and update invoices
  • Call and e-mail customers to update status during work
