The Altec Service Group has an opening for a Training Administrator to coordinate training activities and programs by providing administrative support and program coordination/oversight. Some positions may assist by teaching classes on basic subject matter on an as-needed basis. The Training Department is in a unique position to promote an environment consistent with Altec values, in addition to training on skill sets. 

The work itself is detail oriented and requires someone who is deadline-driven, able to manage time constraints, able to multi-task, flexible.  The successful candidate must be goal-oriented, persistent, and with a passion for customer service.

Basic Qualifications

  • Four-year degree highly desired or equivalent directly applicable experience on a year-for-year basis
  • Minimum of one year of coordinating training administrative functions and curricula oversight also highly desired
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in dealing with Management, Trainers, Learners and Subject Matters Experts (SMEs)
  • Working knowledge and understanding of the Learning Management System (LMS) platform to include scheduling participants, tracking progress, uploading content/records and reporting
  • A “can-do” approach and a passion to encourage the same in others

Responsibilities

  • Schedules and reserves rooms for trainers conducting classroom training.
  • Responsible for logistics, including airfare, lodging, rentals.
  • Enters and maintains training records of mandatory and voluntary training, providing reports as needed.
  • Teaches classes on basic subject matter to supplement training needs in high volume situations.
  • Coordinates all training supply and equipment needs by determining needs and providing to trainers proactively.
  • Manages expenses related to training.
  • Coordinates trainer classroom activities.
  • Works with content developers ensuring that content is appropriate and standardized across trainers.
  • Responsible for invoicing/billing.
  • Responsible for the entire execution of training schedule.
