Responsibilities

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

To receive and deliver parts and materials to stocking areas, production areas, and other departments.  To pick/pack/ship product to other departments, other divisions, and customers. To accurately receive in all incoming freight for production and coordinate shipping of outbound items in a timely matter, assist in other areas of materials as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. To provide quality and timely workmanship on each job performed.
  2. Follows all established safety & quality policies and practices.
  3. Learn and follow all work instructions.
  4. Learn and operate all equipment within the department.
  5. Support APS initiatives – Lean Manufacturing
  6. Rotate responsibilities as needed.
  7. Computer program usage – Ability to learn Oracle data base / Altec Navigator
  8. Visually check in all deliveries; looking for accuracy of order vs shipment and quality
  9. Receive all deliveries in Oracle (computer)
  10. Clearly label all product and put in its proper area, utilizing forklift when necessary
  11. Ship any outgoing packages
  12. File claims when necessary with freight companies
  13. Complete RMR's for returns as needed
  14. Back up for Forklift operator
  15. Pulling Parts
  16. Staging for Production
  17. Receiving
  18. Material Control Organization
  19. Restocking Material


EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend required.
• Basic computer usage knowledge desired
• Vocational Training in lieu of experience will be considered.

OTHER POSITION SPECIFICATIONS:

  1. Assist co-workers as needed.
  2. Perform cleanup of area.
  3. Verbal & written communication skills required
  4. Mental abilities:  Reading, calculation, measuring, planning, multi-tasking
  5. Environmental conditions: Exposure to noise, cold, heat, strong smells
  6. Must have a good attitude, be team oriented & work well with others
