Responsibilities

Altec’s Marketing Department is seeking an eager marketing intern to passionately promote our products and generate leads.  The ideal candidate has strong written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational skills and a desire to assist and improve existing processes. We need a go-getter looking to gain more experience in the field by assisting with ongoing campaign processes such as email creation (using HTML) projects as well as managing and executing some self-started projects with guidance from the team.

This position will assist with Marketing efforts including, but not limited to, the following:

• Email marketing - creation and distribution
• Website landing page creation
• Graphic design
• Administrative assistance associated with event planning
• Assist with project management and processes
• Create short videos for internal or external use
• Assist with generation of data and reports as needed
• Organize and name digital assets

Requirements

• Must be a student or recent graduate from an accredited 4-year college or university majoring in one of the following:
  • PR
  • Journalism
  • Marketing
  • Communications
  • Business
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Well-versed in Microsoft programs
• Well-versed in Photoshop, Illustrator and In-Design
• Basic HTML and CSS knowledge preferred
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects effectively
• Ability to work both in teams and independently
• Ability to meet project deadlines consistently
• Premier Pro, Final Cut or After Effects knowledge preferred

Timeframe & Location of Internship

The main part of this paid internship will be during the fall and spring and located at Altec’s corporate headquarters in Birmingham, AL.
