Altec Roanoke specializes in the manufacturing and final assembly of aerial devices, cranes and digger derricks.
*Implements countermeasures for continuous improvement in Safety, Quality, Cost and Delivery
*Maintains and distributing inspection and supplier quality information to help reduce costs and improve quality
*Supports shop floor quality initiatives
*Translates field data from warranty claims into improvements to reduce warranty costs
*Demonstrated ability to determine root cause and solve problems
*Provides field support for customer units
*Supports and participates in Continuous Improvement activities throughout Altec
*Travel may be required periodically
*Opportunity for supervision
*Vendor quality management
Should the selected candidate meet the qualifications of a more experienced level in the career path, the job level may be adjusted.
Requires Bachelors Degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited school (Mechanical or Industrial preferred)
Lean manufacturing background preferred
Strong leadership skills required
Ability to manage time effectively
Hands-on approach to problem solving
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Must be an energetic, driven self-starter capable of working independently or with a team
