Responsibilities

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

  • Lead the development and maintenance of the enterprise wide engineering software and assist with leadership of other Engineering Systems.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and participate in projects related to enhancements to the system, implementation of new modules, new functionality and upgrades
  • Participate in Project Management meetings with user groups
  • Advanced Support of users diagnosing and resolving issues related to all Engineering Systems
  • Write specifications and prepare detailed changes when enhancements are required
  • Test changes, enhancements, and upgrades made to CAD systems, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) programs, and integrations with other systems
  • Log Incident Reports with Siemens or appropriate provider when issues cannot be resolved internal to Altec
  • Lead and coordinate enterprise wide Process Improvement events
  • Prepare training and system documentation
  • Remain highly adaptable - Due to the changing nature of priorities in supporting customers, this role requires high adaptability
  • Track and maintain constant communication with the customer from the beginning to the end of any established case, issue, or concern
  • All other duties as assigned

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • High School Diploma or GED Required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or applicable discipline or equivalent of four years SolidWorks experience
  • Minimum of four years direct business experience in an Altec facility or a minimum of three years Teamcenter functional applications knowledge.
  • Current valid Driver’s License
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to work with team members and work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to problem solve
