MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs work using schematics, technical drawings, written and verbal instructions.
  • Uses mechanical and electrical assembly techniques to assemble components, sub-assemblies and major components to manufacture air pressurization equipment. May perform a variety of different assemblies.
  • May require making changes or adjustments to prints and parts to complete assembly.
  • Troubleshoot problems as they arise and perform preventative maintenance as required.
  • Inspecting work to ensure it is operational and accurate by verifying each installation to the operational method sheet.
  • Parts and materials handling is required.
  • Assist and train co-workers.
  • Follow established safety, environmental and quality policies, procedures and practices.
  • Verify equipment functions and accuracy.
  • Determine best procedure to run production efficiently and accurately.
  • Notify appropriate personnel if router, E.C.O. or OMS changes are needed.
  • Other job duties as assigned.

 

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • Requires the use of simple arithmetic such as addition and subtraction of decimals, and fractions, together with simple drawings and some measuring instruments such as a caliper and scale; including simple use of formulas, charts, schedules, wiring diagrams, adjustable measuring instruments (which require interpretation in various applications).
  • Must have working knowledge of a variety of hand tools as well as power tools to perform the job.
  • Must have knowledge of technical drawings.
  • Must possess a mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend required.
  • Basic computer usage knowledge preferred.
