Responsibilities
• Advanced troubleshooting of critical equipment upon failure
• Perform preventative maintenance and predictive maintenance and analysis
• Interpret diagrams (hydraulic/electrical schematics), operation manuals, and pneumatic systems
• Optimize production methods and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE)
• Implement process modifications that will enhance production efficiency and reduce costs
• Develop routine maintenance procedures to ensure optimal machine uptime/availability
• Installation of new circuits, running conduit, installing wiring, and starting up new equipment
• Must be able to work at heights above 10 feet
• General facilities maintenance
HVAC, Plumbing, Perimeter Fencing, Grounds, General Electric, Windows/Doors
• Support RCI events
• Some travel required (approximately 5%)
WORK ENVIRONMENT
• Lifting, pulling, pushing, or extending above the head items weighing 40-75 pounds
• Lifting, bending, and turning at the waist simultaneously
• Standing, stooping, or walking three (3) to five (5) hours at a time
• Climbing in overhead structures, working beneath machines and in close quarters.
• Operating mechanical equipment
• Use of hand and power tools
• Reading blueprints and schematics
• Reading tape measurements
• Exposure to extreme temperatures
• Exposure to chemicals (i.e. acetone or other solvents, gasoline, hydraulic oil, lubricants, multi-purpose cleaners, etc.)
• Wearing of and caring for personal protective equipment (steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, goggles, face shield, hearing protection, respirator, harness, other protective clothing, etc.)
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
- High School Diploma/GED required.
- 5 years of Industrial Maintenance experience required (7 years preferred), OR a conferred Associate's Degree (or higher) in Industrial Maintenance.
- Electrical License preferred but not required.
- Training in the manufacturing and repair of products with hydraulic and electrical components.
- General mechanical knowledge and knowledge of PLCs, hydraulics, electronics and welding.
- Internal Candidates will be an Associate in good standing.
- Experience with Bystronic and Okuma equipment is preferred but not required.
Should the selected candidate meet the qualifications of a more experienced level in the career path, the job level may be adjusted.
