Responsibilities

CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) Administrator who participates in system enhancements, administration and maintenance of an enterprise scaled CPQ system that integrates into Salesforce CRM and Oracle ERP.  

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • CPQ Subject Matter Expert with a holistic view of the CPQ system and CPQ related integrations to other systems such as Salesforce CRM and Oracle ERP 
  • Participates in Agile Ceremonies with Agile teams to effectively refine, configure, test and release CPQ features to end users 
  • Collaborates with Product Owners, Business Analysts and Scrum Masters to ensure refined User Stories can be fulfilled within the CPQ system while meeting business objectives 
  • Participates in an environment of continuous improvement, routinely configuring / building / updating CPQ attributes, objects, pricing logic, page layouts, workflows and document generation through the use the CPQ Administrator toolset 
  • Applies a foundational understanding of coding concepts within the CPQ Administrator toolset to build features though the use of variables, statements, functions, expressions, etc. 
  • Understands basic Business process to effectively communicate to business stakeholders and technical teams how CPQ functionality can support business operations 
  • Fully understands CPQ configuration and features, evaluates business feasibility, plans and executes CPQ upgrades  
  • Resolves moderately complex issues within a single application without supervision 
  • Releases functionality into the production environment while understanding impact to other teams 
  • Takes ownership of issues and sees them through to resolution 
  • Supplements user support team with CPQ domain expertise as needed 
  • Sets up and manages CPQ users  
  • Completes initial development testing prior to QA team testing 
  • Possesses ability to work independently and display judgment in prioritization of work 
  • May assist in Salesforce CRM administration

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • High School Diploma or GED required 
  • Bachelor’s degree in related discipline with two years of relevant work experience strongly preferred, but consideration may be given to an exceptional candidate with six years of experience 
  • At least two years of relevant work experience required 
  • The job level may be modified upward based on the qualifications of the candidate 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Salesforce CRM Administrator Experience ‘
  • Salesforce Administrator Certification 
  • Tacton CPQ Experience 

OTHER POSITION SPECIFICATIONS: 

  • Good analytical, verbal and written skills required 
  • Participate in continuous improvement events  
  • Maintain company confidentiality 
  • Interact with users for system clarifications and requirements  
  • Write system and process documentation 
  • Provide user support for Altec associates via phone, email and in person  
  • Willingness to work outside standard business hours to resolve critical issues or complete special projects 
  • Track and maintain constant communication with the customer from the beginning to the end of any established case, issue, or concern 
  • Remain highly adaptable 
  • All other duties as assigned
