Job Description

1 - Responsibilities

Altec is currently looking for a Part-Time Corporate Receptionist in Birmingham, AL to join our team (26 – 30 hours per week). The schedule will be 7:30 am to 5:00 pm Wednesday through Friday. 

This position provides administrative support to the Human Resources Department.

 

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Corporate Receptionist answering and fielding calls throughout the company
  • Greet, direct, and register all visitors, ensuring that each visitor is signed in and given a visitor badge prior to being allowed access to the building
  • Answer questions via phone and from visitors regarding Altec
  • Receive and distribute mail to appropriate individual/department
  • Assist with meeting room preparation and catered lunches
  • Assist with administrative tasks supporting the Corporate HR team
  • All other duties as assigned
     

Education, Experience, and Skills Required

  • High School Diploma or GED Required
  • Two years’ experience required
  • Four-year degree may substitute for experience requirement (and is the preferred education)
  • Microsoft Office Suite and other office management applications required
  • Excellent written, verbal and communication skills
  • Must be able to work with team members and work with minimal supervision
