Responsibilities

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

Functional Information Services consultant who participates in implementations of system enhancements, new systems, and system upgrades.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Participates in application implementations, enhancements, upgrades and functional testing
  • Resolves moderately complex issues within a single application without supervision
  • Takes ownership of issues and sees them through to resolution
  • Understands business processes and related applications
  • Managing CPQ attributes, objects, pricing logic, page layouts, workflows and approvals
  • Ability to write and understand simple code, functions and expressions to build out logic and rules with CPQ
  • User support for CPQ system
  • Assisting in roll-out of new features
  • Training for end users of the CPQ system
  • Documentation for the CPQ system
  • Setting up the UI for our technical sales representatives, as well as account managers
  • Making changes to ensure system is working in an optimal manner
  • Understand the features getting released, evaluate business feasibility, plan and execute upgrades, patches and enhancements
  • Setting up & managing users
  • Releasing functionality into the production environment and understand impacts to other teams.
  • SME for CPQ system with a holistic view of entire system to ensure a change in one area of the tool does not break functionality in another area
  • Testing CPQ functionality
  • Strongly contributes to an Agile team
  • An ability to work independently and display judgment in prioritization of work

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor’s degree in related discipline with two years of relevant work experience strongly preferred, but consideration may be given to an exceptional candidate with six years relevant work experience
  • At least two years of relevant work experience required
  • Birmingham, AL preferred, but consideration for Creedmoor, NC, Elizabethtown, KY, Mt. Airy, NC, Roanoke, VA, and St. Joseph, MO

The job level may be modified upward based on the qualifications of the candidate

OTHER POSITION SPECIFICATIONS:

  • Good analytical, verbal and written skills required
  • Participate in continuous improvement events
  • Maintain company confidentiality
  • Interact with users for system clarifications and requirements
  • Write system and process documentation
  • Provide user support for Altec associates via phone, email and in person
  • Willingness to work outside standard business hours to resolves issues or complete special projects
  • Track and maintain constant communication with the customer from the beginning to the end of any established case, issue, or concern
  • Remain highly adaptable
  • All other duties as assigned.
  • Must be willing to travel as needed to perform job duties up to 25%
