Utility Technician-2nd Shift

Responsibilities

PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Maintaining the 5S’s – Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize and Sustain throughout the facility.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Preventive Maintenance duties on facility and production equipment                                                                                                                                                                   •Painting work areas to indicate area type
• General housekeeping assignments, centered around safety, quality, and improved efficiency
• Support RCIs
• Grounds keeping including, but not limited to grounds cleanup, some snow removal, salting, and sanding sidewalks
• Light building maintenance
• Maintain equipment and tools used
• Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend required.
• Basic computer usage knowledge desired
• Ability to read tape measures and blue prints desired.
• General knowledge of at least one of the following desired
o Mechanical
o Hydraulics
o Electrical
o Manufacturing / Production processes

FINANCIAL BUDGETING, CAPITAL, AND/OR MANPOWER RESPONSIBILITIES:
• none

OTHER POSITION SPECIFICATIONS:
• Keep a clean work area (5S)
• Assist co-workers as needed
• May participate in RCI events
• May be required to learn Altec programs and/or systems
• Shift work may be required.
