Job Functions and Key Responsibilities  

Provides administrative support within the Corporate Human Resources department, such as support for recruitment and employment, associate records, payroll and benefits administrations, training, event management, and serves as the backup receptionist for the corporate offices.   

  • Provide HR administrative support to the Corporate HR Business Partners, Recruiters, and or other management. 
  • Plans and independently executes special projects as assigned by management. 
  • Onboards associates and processes hiring-related paperwork. 
  • Prepares or maintains employment records related to events such as hiring, termination, leaves, transfers, or promotions, using human resources management system software. 
  • Assist with leave of absence administration. 
  • Assist with meeting room preparation and ordering of catered lunches. 
  • Schedules and coordinates administrative aspects of training programs and company sponsored on-site and off-site events. 
  • Serves as the backup Corporate Receptionist covering lunches, vacation, leaves, etc.  
  • Greets, directs, and registers all visitors, ensuring that each visitor is signed in and given a visitor badge prior to being allowed access to the building. 
  • Answers questions via phone and from visitors regarding Altec. 
  • Receive and distribute mail to appropriate individuals/departments. 
  • Serves as a confidential point of contact for associates to communicate and seek clarification on issues or dilemmas, or report irregularities. 
  • Maintains and updates human resources documents. 
  • All other duties as assigned. 

  

Minimum Essential Qualifications

  •  High School Diploma or GED required 
  •  Bachelor's Degree preferred 
  • Two years applicable experience required   
  • Bachelor’s Degree may be considered in lieu of experience 
  • Excellent computer skills required 
  • Microsoft Office, PeopleSoft, Oracle, and/or Kronos experience highly preferred 
  • Regular, punctual, and reliable attendance. 
  • Excellent written, verbal and communication skills 
  • Must be able to work with team members and work with minimal supervision. 
  • Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Must be able to work independently and in teams. 
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and multitask. 
  • Excellent ability to solve problems and meet deadlines by juggling multiple, competing, and changing priorities. 
  • High level of interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of personnel, as well as external suppliers and visitors. 
  • Prioritize timely follow-up and follow-through, thoroughness in work product and attention to detail
