Responsibilities

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Implements countermeasures for continuous improvements in Safety, Quality, Cost, and Delivery
• Analyzes and responds to customer quality information to drive improved processes, products and reduce cost 
• Develops and maintains plant quality systems for nonconformances, document control, change management and calibrations
• Supports shop floor quality initiatives focusing on defect reduction and incoming raw material quality
• Develops and executes supplier nonconformance processes including SCARs and supplier audits
• Translates field data from warranty claims into improvements to reduce warranty costs
• Demonstrated ability to determine root cause and solve problems
• Provides field support for customer units both remotely and on-site.
• Supports and participates in Continuous Improvement activities throughout Altec

The job level may be adjusted at time of hire if the selected candidate meets the qualifications for a more experienced job level in the career path.  

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering required.
• EIT registration or ability to obtain registration required.
• Current valid Driver's License
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must be able to work with team members and work with minimal supervision
• Must be willing to travel up to 25% of the time, potentially on short notice, which may include flying.
