Altec’s auction subsidiary, JJ Kane Auctioneers, currently has an opening for a Project Management Analyst - Training. This position will be located at our facilities in our corporate offices in Birmingham, AL . The JJ Kane Continuous Improvement Team is responsible for leading change by integrating new products, processes, and services into the business.

JJ Kane auctions all types of used equipment including: bucket trucks, digger derricks, construction equipment, back hoes, skid steers, mini excavators, tractor crawlers, dozers, fleet cars and more!   • Works within any of the JJ Kane departments as assigned to develop working knowledge, empathy, and a network of core business group roles, purposes, and processes
  • Collaborates within a business operation to integrate new products, processes, and/or services into the business; drives project teams to achieve milestones and goals
  • Communicates project goals/results to all stakeholders
  • Learns and utilizes Lean principles to improve processes
  • Develops and maintains project milestone tracking
  • Assists in the definition of project scope and objectives, involves all relevant stakeholders and ensures technical feasibility
  • Operates with appropriate entry-level decision-making latitude within scope of an assignment
  • Works with Managers to create training progression for applicable career tracks
  • Create Onboarding program for new hires
  • Create training content for Altec University and SharePoint
  • Assist sales department with building a robust training program for continued growth
  • All other duties as assigned

Should the selected candidate meet the qualifications of a more experienced level in the career path, the job level may be adjusted.


  • Bachelor’s degree in related discipline required*
  • Internal candidates - minimum of one (1) year Altec experience
  • - Applicable Masters counts as one year of experience
  • External candidates - minimum of one (1) year experience in a project analyst/project management role in a business environment that requires critical thinking
  • - Applicable Masters counts as one year of experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic understanding of business principles
  • Experience with Altec Production System (internal only) or applicable project environments
  • Must be willing to travel up to 25% of the time, potentially on short notice
